But that’s not a very good, and it’s really easy to confuse based on one’s experience. For me, my high school classes started at 7:30 am every day, but some of my college classes don’t start until 2:00 pm on some days. Because you can pick your schedule, it doesn’t necessarily mean that students have to get up bright and early.
This could have been solved by her saying in the first panel “college starts tomorrow, at 8:00” or something. Then it would have been clear that she didn’t set an alarm and is sleeping in on her first day of school.
100% agree, it seems like this is just a lead up to to real punch line in the next comic perhaps? but if the real punch line is in the next comic…well…maybe the two should just be combined into a double feature…
